Thanks to your input here, I've...

I've managed to cut my food costs on our annual Christmas Eve party this year to under $7.50 per person (and it's quite a menu). That's a 25% decrease off last year's food costs!
I've done it because:

Tips I've picked up here
ECBs (Special thanks to Abbi and all of you who painstakingly explained rolling over ECBs--I get it now)
Global Market - a fabulous international market that saved me well over $40 on imported Kalamata olives and a fortune on dried figs.
Anyway, all the gory details are up on the Website.
rebecca:
What kind of food are you serving?
savingtonsofmoney:
Sorry. Here's the menu link:

I serve enough to feed an army, but I'd sure hate to run out of food. I have this thing about "copious" displays of food. LOL!
You'll find links to the recipes and the items in bold, I'm serving this year. Some of the items rotate, and some of the items are annual. I try to do it a little different each year.
rebecca:
Wow, that's amazing. Lucky guests!
So explain how ECB's helped you? Did you roll them into gift cards? or did you buy stuff at CVS?
savingtonsofmoney:
Okay, here's the deal on ECBs. When I make money, I transfer that money to the Christmas fund. When I buy something for free, that money also gets transferred to the Christmas fund.
I start "making money" on ECBs around September. This is the first year I've done this, because you guys just taught me how to do it. I never paid any attention to ECBs before, and I had no idea just how useful they were.
Next year, I may start in January to see if CVS can finance the whole party. LOL! That's my goal.
Thanks again for teaching me how to roll them over.
